Buchenwald: The Forbidden Photos

Alex Mazzucco was a 24 year old Army 1st class in one of General George Patton's famous platoons that liberated the Buchenwald concentration camp near Weimar, Germany on April 11, 1945. Alex disobeyed direct orders and took 10 forbidden photos so that no matter what was reported back home, the truth would be shown about what he had witnessed.


This 12 minute story is told by Jim and Martha Verme, Alex's brother in law and sister in law. July 2 - 3, 2019
